Savamala used to be the "industrial heart" of Belgrade, and now it is one of the most beautiful promenades in the city that satisfies the affinities for urban culture admirers, as well as the admirers of modern cafes and restaurants.

The story goes that one of the oldest European settlements originated right from the Gardoš hill in Zemun. One of the most special gems of Gardoš is the famous Millennium Tower (or Janos Hunyadi's Tower), which was erected here as part of the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the Hungarian Empire. 

Belgrade is one of the few cities in the world that is fortunate to have a botanical garden located right in the center of the city. Not far from Tašmajdan Park is the Botanical Garden Jevremovac which has been in this place since the 19th century.

Topčiderski Park is the oldest landscape park not only in Belgrade, but in all of Serbia. Here you can learn about the rich history of the city, pass monuments, fountains and water fountains from the 19th century, and visit the residence of Prince Miloš, which houses artefacts from the first and second Serbian uprisings.
